Artist statement:

Francine Poirier is  an artist who mostly does photography but experiments with multi-media arts. Her photography is mostly in the genre of landscape, but she has begun to work with  self-portraiture about her chronic pain stemming from her Neurofibromatosis. By producing make-shift mirrors and photographing the reflection in order to confuse the viewer’s perception. By using fragmented mirrors, She begin to talk about the ways in which human perception is faulty, fragmented, and ultimately subjective.
